Then we do get more clients and money problems are still there…
Despite having worked diligently for years to:
Money is coming into the business but it doesn’t seem to stretch far enough. You’ve been telling yourself ‘I just need one more client’ for months (maybe years). Now you’ve got to a point in business where things need to change. Pronto!

I know the automatic response to talking about toxic money mindsets is to change the subject to how good you are with money. I don’t doubt you. You’ve built a successful business that generates good revenue. That’s impressive!
But your tax band doesn’t purge you of all toxic money habits. Everyone faces challenges when it comes to making and keeping money, whether you barely have two pennies to rub together or you’re in the top 1% of earners.
Toxic money mindsets aren’t a reflection of you. They are a reflection of what you’ve been told and what your past experiences have taught you.
Here’s the kicker. Unless we actively go looking, our money mindset is hidden, engrained in automatic behaviour like toxic money habits that we don’t consciously notice. When we do a little digging, we can uncover the beliefs we have around money, doubling down on the ones that serve us and transforming the ones that don’t. This exercise uncovers prime opportunities to make and keep more money!
Write a new money mindset. Clear the path for a successful financial future. Make and keep more money.
I was devastated when my husband tripled his income. Obviously, that was great for our family. My response didn’t reflect that because I had a yet-to-be-discovered belief that I was competing with my husband. It created all sorts of toxic money habits. I needed to keep up with what he was earning if not surpass it. All my energy went into that instead of focusing on what was best for me and the business. When I shifted my money mindset, my financial situation changed. (And then some!) The best part is making and keeping money was so much easier.
That’s one of the pivotal experiences that inspired me to become a business and money coach. Money mindset matters always. It particularly matters when you’re a business owner who is putting a price on her time, skills and expertise.
So take a look at your money mindset and the toxic beliefs that could be hiding in there. What profitable opportunities will you discover?
